A couple guys were sitting around on vacation in Florida in 1999 drinking away their hard earned money but enjoying it nonetheless.  We were actually laughing at ourselves and how much time and money we spent drinking, partying, and chasing the proverbial buzz.  After countless “research missions”, we figured wouldn’t it be cool to have a network for bars and clubs to reach the millions of us that blow our hard earned money in their establishments each night. 

In 1999 the Internet was still exploding with entertainment search engines providing information on every social event possibility you could ever imagine.  If you wanted to find a bar in Florida you had to go through countless websites and pages to find one.  Then you had to be in a major city if you weren’t you were left out of the loop!  Then they offer the basics address and location, what can you tell from this?  If I told you my name and address you would know where to find me but would have no idea what to expect until you got here.

We saw this as an opportunity to capture and educate people on one area of this useful but often thin coverage of the bar and club scene.  Our philosophy is very simplistic, open the doors to bars and clubs virtually on-line and provide the searcher with an in-depth barography and other pertinent information when you want it, how you want it and most importantly without anything more than you want!
