Reuben’s Brews Bits and Bobs IPA coming soon, available through April

Reubens Brews Bits and Bobs IPA BeerPulse
Seattle brewery’s new 2018 spring seasonal uses “bits and pieces” to create an IPA that will be reimagined each year (Seattle, WA) – Reuben’s Brews has just added a new spring seasonal to its lineup. “Bits and Bobs” IPA will be available from January through April in cans, draft and bottles. Each spring, the beer will feature a new recipe, taking everything the brewery learned throughout the year to create a brand-new brew. For 2018, Bits and Bobs was brewed with Strata (originally X331), Azacca and Citra hops, alongside a predominantly pale malt bill with a touch of Vienna malt to provide balance. Adam Robbings, co-founder and brewmaster for Reuben’s Brews, said, “This beer is a reflection on our experiences of the prior year, such as our experimentation with different malts, hops and new processes to brew an IPA. Bits and Bobs allows us to brew something different every year,...

Alaskan Baltic Porter back in Pilot Series after five-year hiatus

Alaskan Baltic Porter label BeerPulse
** Intricate flavors and complexity abound in a dark classic (Juneau, AK) – Alaskan Baltic Porter is a fan favorite from previous years, and it’s back as the latest addition to Alaskan Brewing’s limited Pilot Series. Baltic Porter is an expression of the inky darkness of the winter season in Alaska, a deep, dense beer with an intricate array of aromas and flavors. “We get asked about this beer all the time, and it’s a great one for the winter and holiday season, with a lot of specialty malts, dark black cherries, and gourmet vanilla beans,” said Alaskan Head Brewer Rob Day. “We’ve always brewed it to be something that people can drink right away, or if you’re patient, it can be aged for several years.” Aging allows it to develop rich, new flavors, highlighting some notes while others mellow. First brewed in 2008, and again in 2009 and 2012, fans...
